AMERICAN BIRKEBEINER
The American Birkebeiner is North America’s largest and most prestigious cross-country ski race. Each February, thousands of skiers and spectators head to Hayward, WI, for this annual week of Nordic festivities. A variety of family-friendly ski events are held on the legendary Birkie Trail and in downtown Hayward as a part of Birkie Week events.

FAT BIKE BIRKIE
The Fat Bike Birkie is the world’s largest on-snow fat bike race. Riders test their skill and endurance on the snow-covered Birkie trail in the Big Fat 47K or the Half Fat 21K races. There is also an un-timed Fun Fat 10K ride. Join in the fun during this annual North Woods adventure.

MUSKY FESTIVAL
Musky Festival is the Hayward area’s annual celebration of world record muskies caught in our many area lakes! Musky Festival is fun for the whole family with over 120 booths of handmade arts and crafts, live music, kids’ games, a carnival, run/walk, grand parade, and the Fishing Has No Boundaries fishing contest, and so much more.
FISHING HAS NO BOUNDARIES
Originated in 1988 and held annually on lake Chippewa Flowage, this “Granddaddy” of FHNB events brings anglers with disabilities and volunteers together for a unique fishing experience. Join more than 100 participants and dozens of volunteers at the Lake Chippewa Campground for this uplifting event.
HONOR THE EARTH POWWOW
Experience an authentic Ojibwe tradition at North America’s largest Honor the Earth Homecoming Celebration and Pow Wow. Celebrate Native American culture and tradition through music, dance, crafts, food, and tribal celebrations. Join us for a fun-filled weekend with activities for the young and young-at-heart.
LUMBERJACK WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Lumberjack World Championships is an international competition and festival showcasing the best sawing, chopping, speed climbing, log rolling, boom running, and axe throwing. There is food, vendors, entertainment, and more! Cheer on lumberjacks and lumberjills as they compete for the World Championship title.

SAWYER COUNTY FAIR
The Annual Sawyer County Fair promotes and encourages education, agriculture, the arts, and entertainment through an annual fair and associated event. It has been in existence for over one hundred years. The fair hosts a carnival, demo derby, live music, food, agricultural exhibits, animals, tractor pull, veggie races, and more!

CHEQUAMEGON MTB FESTIVAL
One of the most revered off-road mountain bike (MTB) festivals in the country, the Chequamegon MTB Festival attracts some of the best off-road enthusiasts to the big woods of northwestern Wisconsin. STONE LAKE CRANBERRY FESTIVAL
Held annually on the first Saturday in October, the Stone Lake Cranberry Festival has grown into one of Northwest Wisconsin’s most popular festivals drawing over 30,000 people each year. Over 300 vendors, artisans, crafters, food and hospitality areas will be ready to welcome you. Cranberry marsh tours, a parade, cranberry krate derby, live music and more in this one-day festival of fun!
